What Is The Democracy Domain?
The Democracy Domain (often referred to simply as Democracy Domain) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit platform dedicated to protecting and strengthening the democratic landscape. We are built as a public-interest initiative, supported by people who believe democracy is reinforced not only through voting, but through everyday choices.
Democracy is not only shaped at the ballot box, it's shaped through the daily choices people make, including where they spend their money.
Our goal is to show how everyday consumer choices can influence corporate behavior, and give people tools that help ensure their spending supports companies that strengthen, not undermine, democratic norms.
As a nonprofit, this work is made possible through community support, partnerships, and individual contributions that help us build and maintain independent, transparent tools.

Your Impact Score reflects how closely your everyday spending aligns with democratic norms. Higher scores indicate stronger alignment. In this example, a score of 82 suggests that most tracked spending supports companies whose actions better align with democratic values.
Category views break spending into areas like groceries, restaurants, travel, and more, showing how many brands you've added, how those categories score overall, and where your spending carries the most influence.
Brand pages show how individual companies rank relative to others in the same category, along with examples of public statements, political activity, regulatory actions, or credible reporting that may affect their score.
Scores update over time in response to real-world events, helping connect everyday purchasing decisions to broader democratic accountability.
